This weekend was AWESOME 🥰

Friday we went to STEAM XL w/ ENEI (decadance)🤩

And it was very good 👍

The STEAMteam B2Bs were all very good, good vibe, selection and flow. Big ups to Snap-ah, Solace, Cedex & Higher Underground and Miles. – You all rocked !

One87 totally outdid himself. Heavy, dark and rolling beats 😈Cynical Gene Dnb couldn’t stop saying how it was the best One87 set he’d ever seen 😍

Wingz did a very good set, nice selection, good flow 😄 Some transition difficulties in the beginning, but they were quickly sorted.

BREDREN were at their best level too, their set was high quality, really nice flow, good variety, perfect technique 🙏👏

Enei was pure fire 🔥. His set was very hard, several 4×4 drops, perfect technique too 👍

The sound system was very loud, the bass was spot on ! Sometimes a little cracking, the sound could have been a little cleaner, but still good.

Decadance is a really nice club, the bar crew and security are very nice. Only downside, the smoking area, although very nicely furnished, had Minimal House playing all the time… It would’ve been better if it had been the music from inside that was played 😉

And Saturday was our own party ; Drum & Beer #7 !

Thanks to the public, the artists, the bar crew, the security and the sound engineer, it was a great success ❤️🔥🎉

Thanks to our early communication and to the talent of Café Central‘s sound engineers, the sound was very well set, and even though we had to respect a limit of 95dB, it was enough to enjoy the music !

The bar got pretty crowded around 11.30pm, the atmosphere was really friendly, lots of positive energy and heavy dancing 💃🕺

Aethra played first 🙏 gave us a really nice set, showcasing his recent productions, starting with light liquid/deep tracks, and ending with some nice progressive neurofunk.

Then came my turn to play, and all I’m going to say is that you were on fire 🔥🔥🔥

Bahilo delivered a very strong jump up set, filled to the brim with energy 💪 We weren’t really expecting this much jump up, but he did mix it very well !

He was accompanied by Likwit on scratching duties, and boy did he rock the scratching 💥

On top of his set, he retransmitted our party on his show on Radio Panik ; Saturday Night Panik ! You will soon be able to listen to it again on their website !

Miss Elorak confirmed her reputation, and gave us an awesome Liquid to Neuro set 🤯😍🔥 Flow & selection were 💯👌

SYNS gave us a mostly Deep DnB set, with strong energy and full of rollers. Perfect technique too 👏

Initial closed the night with a nice blend of Neuro, which you were clearly waiting for 👀

And he didn’t deceive 💣💣💣💥💥💥

Seeing how much enthusiasm was shown for neurofunk, both from DJs and from the public, our next edition is going to be dark & heavy 😈😈😈

G-Saims is preparing a varied set, between Liquid, Ragga Jungle Old-School Jump Up and Deep DnB

Living in a constant stream of music since he was 14 years old, G-Saims is first and foremost a music lover with extremely diverse tastes, who loves to know and collect the music that moves him. After rewarding professional experiences in teaching, IT, customer service, sales and agriculture, he bought his first DJ controller in early 2021, and discovered a passion for deejaying while mixing in small private parties in Brussels.

He meets BenOneShot, Sisley and Mego during the Chill2Chill party in Tour & Taxis in August 2021. A strong friendship is formed between Mego and G-Saims in the following months, carried by a common passion for Drum & Bass. They decide to launch together the concept of parties imagined by G-Saims, “Drum & Beer”, small Drum & Bass parties in Brussels, where you can taste local and craft beers.

Vivant dans un flot musical constant depuis ses 14 ans, G-Saims est avant tout un mélomane aux goûts extrêmement variés, qui adore connaître et collectionner la musique qui le touche. Après des expériences professionnelles enrichissantes dans l’enseignement, l’informatique, le service client, la vente et l’agriculture, il achète son premier contrôleur DJ début 2021, et se découvre une passion pour le deejaying en mixant dans de petites soirées privées à Bruxelles.

Il rencontre BenOneShot, Sisley et Mego lors de la soirée Chill2Chill à Tour & Taxis en août 2021. Une forte amitié se noue entre Mego et G-Saims dans les mois qui suivent, portée par une passion commune pour la Drum & Bass. Ils décident de lancer ensemble le concept de soirées imaginé par G-Saims, “Drum & Beer”, des petites soirées de Drum & Bass sur Bruxelles, où l’on peut déguster des bières locales et artisanales.

G-Saims leeft sinds zijn 14e in een constante stroom van muziek. Hij is in de eerste plaats een muziekliefhebber met een zeer diverse smaak, die graag de muziek kent en verzamelt die hem aan het hart gaat. Na lonende professionele ervaringen in het onderwijs, IT, klantenservice, verkoop en landbouw, kocht hij begin 2021 zijn eerste DJ-controller, en ontdekte een passie voor deejaying tijdens het mixen op kleine privéfeesten in Brussel.

Hij ontmoet BenOneShot, Sisley en Mego tijdens het Chill2Chill feest in Tour & Taxis in augustus 2021. Een sterke vriendschap wordt gevormd tussen Mego en G-Saims in de volgende maanden, gedragen door een gemeenschappelijke passie voor Drum & Bass. Ze besluiten samen het door G-Saims bedachte concept van feesten te lanceren, “Drum & Beer”, kleine Drum & Bass feesten in Brussel, waar je lokale en ambachtelijke bieren kunt proeven.

It all began in the year 2000, when Initial acquired his first vinyl turntables.

He made his first steps in radio a few years later, where he learned many animation techniques by participating in the presentation of weekly shows. His evolution in the Brussels radio scene allows him to create the show “Zone Inconnue” on radio Vibration in 2008.

Pioneer and proud representative of the Brussels underground movement (& beyond), his playground as a DJ is inspired by the very roots of Breakbeat, Jungle and Drum & Bass.

Initial has played at the Coliséum (Charleroi), Caves de Cornillon (Liège), ACB Factory (Bxl), KultuurKaffee (Bxl), Relais Tir (Bxl), SteelGate (Bxl), T.A.G (Bxl), RIC’s Boat (Bxl), Fulmar (Bxl), Recyclart (Bxl), Skatepark des Ursulines (Bxl), Alter Ego (Poland), as well as in many other unusual places.

A major figure in the Brussels Drum & Bass scene, Initial will delight us with his Neurofunk sounds.

Tout commença en l’an de grâce 2000, année durant laquelle Initial acquiert ses première platines vinyle.

Il fait ses premiers pas en radio quelques années plus tard, où il apprend de nombreuses techniques d’animation en participant à la présentation d’émissions hebdomadaires. Son évolution dans le milieu radio Bruxellois lui permet de créer l’émission “Zone Inconnue” en 2008.

Pionnier et fier représentant du mouvement underground Bruxellois (& au-delà), son terrain de jeux en tant que DJ s’inspire des racines même du Breakbeat, de la Jungle et de la Drum & Bass.

Initial a joué au Coliséum (Charleroi), Caves de Cornillon (Liège), ACB Factory (Bxl), KultuurKaffee (Bxl), Relais Tir (Bxl), SteelGate (Bxl), T.A.G (Bxl), RIC’s Boat (Bxl), Fulmar (Bxl), Recyclart (Bxl), Skatepark des Ursulines (Bxl), Alter Ego (Pologne), ainsi que dans de nombreux autres lieux insolites.

Monument de la scène Drum & Bass Bruxelloise, Initial nous régalera avec ses sons Neurofunk.

Pionier en trotse vertegenwoordiger van de Brusselse underground scene (& verder), zijn speelterrein als DJ is geïnspireerd door de roots van Breakbeat, Jungle en Drum & Bass.

Initial heeft gedraaid in het Coliséum (Charleroi), Caves de Cornillon (Luik), ACB Factory (Bxl), KultuurKaffee (Bxl), Relais Tir (Bxl), SteelGate (Bxl), T. A.G (Bxl), RIC’s Boat (Bxl), Fulmar (Bxl), Recyclart (Bxl), Skatepark des Ursulines (Bxl), Alter Ego (Polen), alsook op vele andere ongewone plaatsen.

Een prominent figuur in de Brusselse Drum & Bass scene, zal Initial ons verblijden met zijn Neurofunk sounds.

Belgian DnB Parties – 2023 Week 18

So where’s the Drum & Bass @ this weekend ❓❓❓

The first one is tomorrow – Thursday: D[Rum&Ba]SS Thursdays – Showcase Edition. It’s in Leuven, at Rumba & Co, and should be mostly New School Jump Up.

So on Friday we got STEAM XL w/ ENEI (decadance), who are making a comeback at their original location 👀🥳🔥 We’ve never been to Decadance before, but we’ve been told it’s a great club. We’ll go to this one cause weally want to see Wingz and Snap-ah ; so we’ll let you now how good it was ! Go check out Snap-ah’s promomix 2023 on soundcloud, it rocks ! This party should be mainly Deep DnB, with some Neuro, Liquid and Old-School Jump Up.

Also on Friday, for the New School Jump Up lovers, there’s Proxic: Midnight Club in Hasselt.

On saturday we got our own event at Café Central in Brussels’ centrum ; Drum & Beer #7. It’ll start with Liquid, will be more varied in the middle, and will end with Neurofunk ! Come check out some of Brussel’s best old school DnB DJs !

But there’s more ; in Liège there’s SOLUTIONZ X LE VOGUE, which should be New School Jump Up.

Not far from our borders, there’s PLANET JUNGLE 20th B-DAY BASH: Dillinja (Valve, Metalheadz) in Maastricht – Dillinja is known for his heavy Neurofunk, not sure if the other artists will stay in that genre.

There’s also REIAL III @ De Kroepoekfabriek, close to Rotterdam, with Rockwell and Haracan ; both awesome artists. The vibe should be mostly Deep.

And on Monday, there’s a DnB party in Luxemburg !

“The Bass Burrow” by Binologie ; not sure what style it’ll be, we think mostly Jump Up and Neuro.

So where’s the Drum & Bass @ this weekend ❓❓❓

Firstly, there’s a huge lineup Wednesday in Rotterdam (tomorrow !), for Eatbrain Indoor Festival – Kingsnight Special. Two rooms full of the gods of Neurofunk 😈😈😈Jade, Dub Elements and many many more

On Friday we got a dnb party in Brussels 🥳 : BassPhase 28.04.2023 | Drum & Bass and Wave event | 𝟱𝟬% 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱 | 2nd edition | The DnB should be more on the deep/neuro side.

There is another party in Gent ; Club 69 invites: Footloose, with one of the headliners of the last Drum & Beer, Boycot_dnb😍🔥 (Varied DnB ; Deep, Liquid, Old-School Jump Up; Neuro,…)

Then Saturday offers some choice :

We’ll be dancing the night away at Sub Focus & Friction at Kompass, to support our good friend James Marvel, and enjoy their incredible sound system 😍🔥🔊 (Jump Up, Dancefloor, a bit Neuro)

In Brussels there are two parties !

The first is Miss Elorak’ s BD Bash! Jubilee Special at place du jeu de balle, 💯% Vinyl with the Pussiestraxes crew, DnB, Jungle and Electro-Techno 😍🤩🎉
