Tomorrow I’ll be playing a very accessible liquid set from 18.00 to 19.00, in order to initiate everyone who hangs out at Zennebar in the summer to the beauty of Drum & Bass 🥰

Living in a constant stream of music since he was 14 years old, Cellarman is first and foremost a music lover with extremely diverse tastes, who loves to know and collect the music that moves him. After rewarding professional experiences in teaching, IT, customer service, sales and agriculture, he bought his first DJ controller in early 2021, and discovered a passion for deejaying while mixing in small private parties in Brussels.

Cellarman launched his own party concept under the name Drum & Beer with the help of Mego, after meeting him, BenOneShot, Sisley, Whyam’me, Nesia and Seka during the Chill2Chill party at Tour & Taxis in August 2021. Drum & Beer started in small bars where you could drink local craft beers, and after nearly 4 years and 30 parties under its belt, Cellarman decided to take it to the next level, with bigger locations and international artists.

Playing at most Drum & Beer parties, as well as at other local parties (Carnivore & Friends, Out Of Control, Jungle Trouble, Belgian Junglists, Bankizz, Low Spec Recs,…), and on the radio (Saturday Night Panik and All About Grime on Radio Panik, Drum’On’Day on Radio Campus, Liquid Flavaz on Urgent.fm, Take A Break on Radio Villa Bota, The Other Side of Breaks on Power FM and Infrared.fm,…) has enabled Cellarman to build a strong experience in deejaying. He likes to take his listeners on a trip through DnB subgenres, surprising them with old school classics and new gems.

Vivant dans un flux musical constant depuis ses 14 ans, Cellarman est avant tout un mélomane aux goûts extrêmement variés, qui adore connaître et collectionner la musique qui le touche. Après des expériences professionnelles enrichissantes dans l’enseignement, l’informatique, le service client, la vente et l’agriculture, il achète son premier contrôleur DJ début 2021, et se découvre une passion pour le deejaying en mixant dans de petites soirées privées à Bruxelles.

Cellarman lance son propre concept de soirée sous le nom Drum & Beer avec l’aide de Mego, après l’avoir rencontré, lui, BenOneShot, Sisley, Whyam’me, Nesia et Seka lors de la soirée Chill2Chill à Tour & Taxis en août 2021. Drum & Beer a commencé dans de petits bars où l’on pouvait boire des bières artisanales locales, et après presque 4 ans et 30 soirées à son actif, Cellarman a décidé de passer au niveau supérieur, dans des lieux plus grands et avec des artistes internationaux.

Jouer à la plupart des soirées Drum & Beer, ainsi qu’à d’autres soirées locales (Carnivore & Friends, Out Of Control, Jungle Trouble, Belgian Junglists, Bankizz, Low Spec Recs,…. ), et à la radio (Saturday Night Panik et All About Grime sur Radio Panik, Drum’On’Day sur Radio Campus, Liquid Flavaz sur Urgent.fm, Take A Break sur Radio Villa Bota, The Other Side of Breaks sur Power FM et Infrared.fm,…) a permis à Cellarman de se forger une solide expérience en tant que DJ. Il aime emmener ses auditeurs en voyage au travers des sous-genres de DnB, les surprenant avec des classiques old school et des pépites récentes.

Sinds zijn 14e leeft Cellarman in een constante stroom van muziek. Hij is eerst en vooral een muziekliefhebber met een zeer diverse smaak, die de muziek die hem ontroert graag kent en verzamelt. Na waardevolle professionele ervaringen in het onderwijs, IT, klantenservice, verkoop en landbouw, kocht hij begin 2021 zijn eerste DJ-controller en ontdekte hij zijn passie voor deejayen door te mixen op kleine privéfeestjes in Brussel.

Cellarman startte zijn eigen feestconcept onder de naam Drum & Beer met de hulp van Mego, nadat hij hem, BenOneShot, Sisley, Whyam’me, Nesia en Seka had ontmoet tijdens het Chill2Chill feest in Tour & Taxis in augustus 2021. Drum & Beer begon in kleine bars waar je lokale ambachtelijke bieren kon drinken en na bijna 4 jaar en 30 feesten besloot Cellarman het naar een hoger niveau te brengen, met grotere locaties en internationale artiesten.

Door op bijna alle Drum & Beer feesten te spelen, maar ook op andere lokale feesten (Carnivore & Friends, Out Of Control, Jungle Trouble, Belgian Junglists, Bankizz, Low Spec Recs,…. ), en op de radio (Saturday Night Panik en All About Grime op Radio Panik, Drum’On’Day op Radio Campus, Liquid Flavaz op Urgent.fm, Take A Break op Radio Villa Bota, The Other Side of Breaks op Power FM en Infrared.fm,…) heeft Cellarman een sterke ervaring opgebouwd in deejayen. Hij neemt zijn luisteraars graag mee op een reis door DnB-subgenres, waarbij hij ze verrast met old school klassiekers en nieuwe juweeltjes.

Try One is a Belgian drum & bass DJ known for his deep, rolling selections and precise mixing. He started mixing on vinyl at 18 years old in 2008, and has since played sets across the country at events like What-U-On-About?!, Steam, Bredren Invites, Concrete Drum X Bass and Tacticz, as well as internationally in Turin and at the renowned Outlook Festival. A former resident and promoter of Isle Of DnB, he now co-runs Respect The Breakz alongside Split Personality and Viki, pushing forward the sound with a focus on quality and community.

Try One est un DJ belge spécialisé en drum & bass, réputé pour ses sélections deep et roulantes ainsi que pour la précision de ses mixes. Il a commencé à mixer sur vinyle en 2008, à l’âge de 18 ans, et a depuis joué à travers le pays lors de nombreux événements tels que What-U-On-About ?!, Steam, Bredren Invites, Concrete Drum X Bass et Tacticz, ainsi qu’à l’international, à Turin et au célèbre Outlook Festival. Ancien résident et promoteur de Isle Of DnB, il co-dirige aujourd’hui Respect The Breakz aux côtés de Split Personality et Viki, afin de faire évoluer le son en privilégiant la qualité et le sens de la communauté.

Hij begon vinyl te mixen in 2008, toen hij 18 jaar oud was, en heeft sindsdien sets gedraaid door het hele land op evenementen als What-U-On-About?!, Steam, Bredren Invites, Concrete Drum X Bass en Tacticz, maar ook op internationale podia in Turijn en op het befaamde Outlook Festival. Als voormalig resident en promoter van Isle Of DnB is hij nu medeorganisator van Respect The Breakz, samen met Split Personality en Viki, om de sound te promoten met een focus op kwaliteit en gemeenschap.

DnBeer #30 : DConvict

We are super happy to welcome Dconvict, the Belgian DnB vinyl god, to our party next saturday 😍

DConvict is who the OG core of the Belgian dnb community refers to as the ancient one, the walking encyclopedia, the historian, the collector, the backbone, the teacher and the eternal student at the same time. Few in this scene are so accomplished in their knowledge and ability to play out any single kind of fast breakbeat music in a seamless voyage of sound, touching all sides of the spectrum and of the drum & bass history, at the same time highly entertaining, with a touch of crowd education. He’s been rockin’ it since 1879 and will still be doing so years after the rest of us will have passed.

DConvict est celui que le noyau dur de la communauté dnb belge appelle l’ancien, l’encyclopédie ambulante, l’historien, le collectionneur, la colonne vertébrale, le professeur et l’éternel étudiant tout à la fois. Peu dans ce milieu sont aussi accomplis en termes de connaissances et de capacité à jouer n’importe quel type de musique breakbeat rapide dans un voyage sonore fluide, touchant tous les côtés du spectre et de l’histoire de la drum & bass, tout en étant hautement divertissant, avec une touche d’éducation collective. Sa carrière remonte à 1879 et elle se poursuivra encore des années après la disparition du reste d’entre nous.

DConvict wordt door de OG-kern van de Belgische dnb-gemeenschap de oude, de levende encyclopedie, de historicus, de verzamelaar, de steunpilaar, de leraar en de eeuwige student tegelijk genoemd. Weinigen in deze scene zijn zo bedreven in hun kennis en vermogen om elke soort snelle breakbeatmuziek te spelen in een naadloze reis van geluid, waarbij ze alle kanten van het spectrum en van de drum & bass-geschiedenis raken, en tegelijkertijd ontzettend onderhoudend zijn, met een vleugje publiekseducatie. Hij beukt er al op los sinds 1879 en zal dat nog steeds doen jaren nadat de rest van ons voorbij zijn.
